Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies, these are small text files that are stored on your device by your browser. Cookies do no harm, we use them to make our website and offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit. If you disagree with this approach, you can configure your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you may allow this only in individual cases. Be aware that the deactivation of cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
Web analysis
Our website uses functions of the following web analysis services:
- AWStats (easyname)
- Google Analytics (GA)
Scope of processing personal information
Our website uses analytics of our provider “easyname GmbH” located at: Fernkorngasse 10/3/501, 1100 Vienna, Austria. According to the provider’s specifications & provisions about AWStats this tool does not use cookies in order to protect the visitors’ personal data. Furthermore, the IP address & browser identification are stored anonymously so that no conclusions can be drawn about the individual visitors.
It uses “Google Analytics” (GA), too, a webanalysis service of “Google LLC” (Google) located at: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. GA uses cookies, from Google itself & so-called third party cookies stored on your device for analyzing your site usage. The information generated by the cookies about your usage of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the United States & stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, which is default, your IP address will, however, be shortened/anonymized by Google (so-called “IP masking” by deleting the last 8 bits limiting exact localization) within member states of the European Union (EU) or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area in advance. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your usage of the website & to compile reports on website activity.
Legal basis
The legal basis for processing personally identifiable data while using GA is Art. 6 (1) lit. f EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), upon user consent it is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.
Purpose of processing
This website uses GA to analyze your usage behavior. By evaluating the data collected, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of our website. This helps us to continuously improve our website and its user-friendliness. For these purposes our legitimate interest lies in the processing of data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GPDR. By anonymizing the IP address, the interest of users in the protection of their personal data is sufficiently taken into account. The IP address transmitted by your browser via GA is not merged/combined with other data from Google.
You may prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. Please note that deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of our website. You may also refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser permitting the collection of information about you and your use of the website (including your IP address), and prevent Google from processing this information by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.ut?hl=en. You can also prevent GA from collecting this information by setting the following switch to “Off” – an opt-out cookie is then set to prevent GA from processing your information on future visits to this website:
Exceptional cases
In case of exceptions, where personal information is transferred to the United States, Google has switched to standard contractual clauses – by agreeing to the relevant cookies, you consent to the transfer.
